LISTENING TO THE WOODPECKERSA male red bellied woodpecker pauses for a moment as I quickly take its photograph before it flies off through the forest along Eakin Creek West. While trying to get a photograph of the male, he and its mate were calling back to each other the entire time I was photographing them.
